All I want for Xmas?

I found these on the Internet but unfortunately they are not sold here. :(

Call Me Chase - I saw this on a fellow kate spader's blog. It's so cute! I so want to get one but I heard they flew off the shelves during the Black Friday sales.

Support Japan iPhone Case - No, I really don't need another iPhone cover but this one is unique to Japan and the more impossible it is, the more attractive it becomes.

Support Japan Medium Flat Pouch - Another pretty item unique to kate spade Japan. This will definitely match my Support Japan Tote!

Note to self: STOP coveting material goods, especially ks related!

iPad iSad

My facebook wall is flooded with posts and comments on Steve Jobs' passing. The last time this happened was when Michael Jackson died. The power influence America has, you have to acknowledge it is great.

This is the work of Jonathan Mak Long (dated August 26, 2011) http://jmak.tumblr.com/post/9377189056
I quite like it. Kinda subtle, kinda says it all.

What's your first Apple product? I have to admit I'm not a Mac fan and mine is the iPod Nano. 2 iPods and 1 iPhone, Apple probably doesn't like me very much.

And here is Steve Jobs' Stanford Commencement 2005 speech. I bet you, me and millions of people have already watched it since the news of his death hit the Internet hours ago.

Lucky gal!

Trawling the Internet, I found the kate spade Korean website. And my oh my what interesting stuff I found!

The search/find was kind of premeditated. While watching the latest Korean drama, Queen of Reversals, on cable 2 weekends ago, I saw the female lead carrying several kate spade bags in different scenes. That got us to think that perhaps kate spade is one of the sponsors of the drama. It also sent me on a quest to spot every bag the female lead carries in each episode. When it became apparent that she got to carry at least 30 different bags for the entire drama series, I decided to check out the kate spade Korean website.

True enough! They did sponsor the drama.

Queen of Reversals

Here's Taehee, the female lead, carrying a spotted haircalf madeline.

This bright yellow box-like bag is a head in the sand melinda.

On the website, they even categorise by episodes, all the kate spade bags, jewellery, clothes and shoes that she wore. What an enviable role to be cast in!

Nothing like

a pretty kate spade bag to brighten my day!

Among the new arrivals for June, I have decided that these are the ones I hope to get my hands on. Not all of course, maybe just one. :)

And this Crystal Spade ring will probably cost a bomb if it is sold at the local stores. Hmm, hope they will have it in size 6. :)

Maryanne, I love thee

(Photo from katespade.com)

I ordered the Gold Coast Maryanne some time in April. C, a friend in the USA, got a 20% store discount and bought this on my behalf. Later she sent me regular updates and also pictures of my bag. Buying the bag through her was a joy and breeze. :)

But (there's always a but in every story) Speedpost gave me a lot of grief. :(

Although C got USPS to send out my bag a day after she got it from the kate spade store, it took more than 2 weeks before it was delivered to my place. While C and USPS were efficient, the same cannot be said about Speedpost. USPS has a tracking system which updates the status of the parcel so I know exactly when C sent it out, when USPS shipped it to Singapore and when it arrived and cleared the customs here. Speedpost's tracking system on the other hand only showed ONE status and there were NO MORE updates after that. My bag sat in their sorting centre for an entire week before they delivered it! In fact I had to call on day 4 to ask about my parcel, only to hear them report most nonchalantly that the item was damaged! When I asked if it was the box that was damaged or the item inside, they said they could not tell! On day 5, they called to say they could not locate the item! I was livid because clearly nobody gave a damn about my parcel. All of my requests were not acceeded to. No, I cannot go to the central post office to assess the damage and collect the parcel. No, they cannot deliver it to me asap. No, No, NO!

Eventually when the parcel arrived, I was at work and J who signed for it told me the box was horribly crushed and torn. Even the kate spade gold-striped paper was ripped, and as was the plastic bag that wrapped the bag in. When I got home and saw the box for myself, I thought: OH GOOD GRIEF! Did an elephant sit on it?!?

Thankfully my Maryanne survived the ordeal. There are no visible scratches despite the torn box and layers of wrapping and she looks perfect!

Weekend purse!

It came earlier than I expected! Sugar Hill Janet, my latest purchase during the Friends and Family sale.

(Photo from katespade.com)

I wasn't expecting it to be delivered in April. Am really pleased to get it so quickly!

V, a friend based in the States, helped me place an order online. She is super efficient and always replies to my emails within an hour. On top of that, she drove 4 hours to and back from NYC in the rain to hunt for a second bag that I set my eyes on. When that bag was out of stock and nowhere to be found, she took the initiative to send me the Janet first, just so I would receive it before my birthday. :) How sweet right? :)

WTS: BNWT Kate Spade Larabee Dot Coin Purse

DizzyLizzy, a good friend of mine, is selling her kate spade Larabee Dot Coin Purse (in Breakers Green). It's brand new and comes with care card and tag. She's not a coin purse person and doesn't know what to do with this. :)

The item is from this season and still being sold on the kate spade website. See here.

Another photo from Petals

This is a kate spade store in Bangkok.

I'm itching dying to buy something new from kate spade but haven't seen anything I like recently. When I told my good friend, Donna, about it this morning, her eyes went wide with utter disbelief. I know, I know, I bought so many pieces in a short span recently, it's almost as if I have not exercised any discretion. But believe it or not, I do think long and hard before purchasing each bag or wallet. :)

Look who carries the same bag!

Carrie carries the same kate spade tote. ;)

Yellow

By the time this post appears, I've been using this for over a week!

I have for a while been eyeing this silicone iPhone 4 cover. I even asked Petals to buy it for me when she was in Bangkok. Turned out it costs 1950 baht which is about SGD82! So no, she did not get me one.

(photo from Petals)

I figure this cover will give me a better grip since it is made of rubber. My other iPhone cover which is a hard case (It's called 'Spade' and yes I like to name my things) tends to slip out of my hand quite easily.

Another reason why I like this yellow multi-coloured striped case is it matches my yellow Stevie!

The best part really is that I got it from the local kate spade store for SGD59 after a discount. Since using concierge services to buy directly from kate spade in the USA will take weeks and the online stores are selling it at $78, I thought this was a steal. ;)

The inside of the cover says 'live colorfully'. Love it! :)

Happy Valentine's Day

While about to alight from a cab earlier tonight, the elderly taxi driver beamed and said to me, '情人节快乐!' (Happy Valentine's Day!)

Momentarily I was stunned. I had taken parent-care leave, it had been a long day, I was dog-tired, and clearly had forgotten it is Valentine's Day.

So there was awkward silence before we both burst out laughing and I wished the uncle a happy valentine's day too. It was a very amusing episode. :)

I very much want to blog about J's present to me. It's the best present ever and yes it's a KATE SPADE! But like I said, it's been a long day and I still have work to finish up so I'll blog about something else, still kate spade-related I'm afraid!

This is going for SGD75 at the stores here! I think most blogshops are selling the iPhone hard covers at around $80.

I find it clean and simple, kinda pretty! ;)

No kidding!

This gigantic pancake-looking bag is from Kate Shovel Spade.

Each time I look at it, I burst out laughing!

It's ridiculously ugly!

Who on earth would wanna carry this??
And mind you, this hideous Lawn Party Half Circle Tote costs USD345!

Happy 1st!

Darling Muffin celebrated his birthday on the third day of the Lunar New Year this year. Earlier, I made his mom go shopping with me for his birthday outfit.
These are his OshKosh shoes. (I love giraffes!)
T-shirt and matching shorts from Gingersnaps.
I absolutely love this tee! And Ondine agrees the words are pretty funny. :) Here's the birthday boy! Look at that drool! Isn't he the cutest thing? :)

Did you notice that every thing on him, from shoes to shorts to shirt matches? Hee...

My dearest little Muffin

will be celebrating his first birthday this week. :) See how he has grown! This is his first photograph. (Feb 2010) In his mom's words, all wide eyed and bushy tailed! This one was taken in April. Apparently, he was taking a dump! Ondine sent me this picture to cheer me up although now I can't remember why I was feeling down. This is the most recent photograph I have of him. Look how CUTE he is! Pray tell how not to love a child like that?? :)

She's using it!

My friend sends me this picture. I think it means she likes the present. :) Happy birthday my dear friend! Here's wishing you good health and lots of joy! :)

Kate Spade trilogy ... #3

Ask me what I really REALLY want from Kate Spade right now, it will have to be this!

Hit The Dock Stevie at USD295

In fact since it hit the stores last December, I have been dying to get this sunny yellow stevie. Mind you, I don't have a single friend who thinks this is pretty or a good buy but I just love it!

It's to die for.

I.must.have.it.

Keyboard Laptop Sleeve at USD60

Along with the stevie is this quirky laptop sleeve that I will like to buy. I love red and my new work laptop will fit into this perfectly! Also, did you notice the letters painted in white? Oh ya, they spell 'Kate Spade'. ;) Although to be honest, this is not a need but a want. The sunny yellow stevie on the other hand is a NEED!

Kate Spade trilogy... #2

How interesting this wallet!

City Spade Lacey at USD175

Cobble Hill Stacy at USD125

I have a thing for Stacy wallets. I like that they can hold many cards and are what I am not - slim!

I think these two are especially appropriate with Chinese New Year round the corner. I mean think CNY and all that comes to mind is red and gambling! Muahahah!
