From Ondine with love!

Can you guess what this is??

I love this kate spade canvas tote bag Ondine got me for Christmas. I love it so much I want to keep it forever and not use it! But it is such a waste to hide it from the world, isn't it? And so I decided that I will carry it when I do fieldwork. Really, it is a most appropriate accessory because tote bags are what school teachers often carry and since I am going to be working with them (teachers not tote bags), I think this may help me to blend in. ;)

I love Love LOVE this limited edition tote bag!

Kate Spade trilogy ... #3

Ask me what I really REALLY want from Kate Spade right now, it will have to be this!

Hit The Dock Stevie at USD295

In fact since it hit the stores last December, I have been dying to get this sunny yellow stevie. Mind you, I don't have a single friend who thinks this is pretty or a good buy but I just love it!

It's to die for.

Keyboard Laptop Sleeve at USD60

Along with the stevie is this quirky laptop sleeve that I will like to buy. I love red and my new work laptop will fit into this perfectly! Also, did you notice the letters painted in white? Oh ya, they spell 'Kate Spade'. ;) Although to be honest, this is not a need but a want. The sunny yellow stevie on the other hand is a NEED!

Kate Spade trilogy... #2

How interesting this wallet!

City Spade Lacey at USD175

Cobble Hill Stacy at USD125

I have a thing for Stacy wallets. I like that they can hold many cards and are what I am not - slim!

I think these two are especially appropriate with Chinese New Year round the corner. I mean think CNY and all that comes to mind is red and gambling! Muahahah!

Kate Spade trilogy ... #1

I have decided that this week, I shall blog about nothing but Kate Spade! Hopefully I won't have to join KS Anonymous soon. ;)

Anyway, the new collection sees me loving these!

To be honest

I did not just get the kate spade Classic Noel Medium Serena. I also got 2 wallets from the blog shop. :) In fact, in less than a month, I have purchased 5 kate spade wallets! Needless to say, J thinks I've gone mad. Although I must tell you that I did not buy them all for myself. Does my generosity help lessen my crime?? ;)

My loot!

How can you not love this pink?!!

This is my Big Apple Stacy Long Wallet.

A gift box for one of the wallets

This is a surprise for a friend! A special occasion of sort, you see. Yes, it's a wallet; no, I'm not going to show you what it is. ;) I pray and hope she has not bought it for herself and will be delighted to receive this. :)

Classic Noel Medium Serena

In wonderment he asked, 'How many bags can you carry?'

In honesty I replied, 'MANY!'

I got the Classic Noel Serena yesterday to match my Barrett! It has made me a very happy person!

This lovely bag was purchased from a blogshop, My Poppie Shop. A, the lady boss, is very friendly and provides fabulous service!

I absolutely love the base of the bag! Can you see that it is debossed? :)

Miniatures

If we are friends on Facebook, you would have seen the photo I posted and know I bought the McDonalds Miniature set last week. :)

Aren't the cute?? I think they are just adorable!

Each item costs SGD2.50 and you can collect 2 per week. Alternatively the whole set can be purchased at SGD25. If you do your math, you will realise that the huge burger box costs SGD10!

And still I paid for the box! Hahaha! I mean how else can I display the 6 small plastic items without the box? ;)

On laptops

Holding onto 2 laptops simultaneously gives me immeasurable joy. I know, that sounds so pathetic! Muahaha!

Months back, the hard disk of my trusty laptop crashed and I lamented how things were not working right even after it had been replaced by a new one. Clearly I'd whined to the right IT person because last week, he summoned asked the IT folks to issue a brand new laptop to me. *beam*

Here's the laptop I've used for 3 years and never failed me till the hard disk crashed so dramatically a while back.

Here's my new companion - shiny new black thing!

Classic Noel Barrett

My wallet finally came yesterday!

Ondine who ordered it for me got a friend to bring it back from the States. That reminds me, I still owe her money. :)

I really love zip around wallets but it's so hard to find one that is pretty. Although kate spade carries several Barretts in different designs, this classic noel is the only one that caught my eye. My only complaint is that 9 card slots are really not sufficient!

Update: I have paid Ondine so the wallet is rightfully mine. Yay! :)

See you in Dec!

We dismantled the Christmas tree way after Christmas. In fact even after 12 days of Christmas, our tree was still there, all brightly lit every night. Seriously if I can have it my way, it will be in that same spot 365 days. But on day 13, my in-laws badgered us to take it down and being the really good children that we are, we did. ;)

So goodbye it is, tree! See you in about 11 months' time.

First cooked meal of the year!

So I cooked my first meal of the year. Some applause please! You may also want to know that it's the first time I cooked rice. Oh yes, I have lived for more than 3 decades and no, I never had to cook rice before. Muahahah!!!

So what did I cook? It's rice with Chinese sausages (J likes it, I don't), mushrooms (I love it, J doesn't care for it) and luncheon meat (our favourite!) all mixed in a pot. All I used was sesame oil, light soya sauce and garlic. I figure the next time I cook this, I'll add ginger too and maybe even chicken. Oh yes, there will be a next time because J likes this simple dish. Yay for me, the lazy and untalented cook! :)

A month back

Dad celebrated his 80th birthday!
爸爸, Happy birthday! 祝您身体健康,每天都很开心!

We spent New Year's Day

with this
and this!
In my attempt to get J to watch The Big Bang Theory, I bought 3 seasons of DVDs for us. It's hilarious I tell you, you've got to watch it!
The complete season 3 cost HKD239 which was less than SGD40. I thought that was a steal! :)
We spent the whole weekend watching all episodes from 3 seasons and by the time we were done, it felt like Sheldon Cooper actually exists.
And of course there's nothing like having some wine to ring in the new year. Rosemount O was recommended by Petals and we got Beckham to get us a bottle when he was at the airport. What can I say? It's not too shabby I guess but I'm not sure if it's worth the trouble to get another bottle in the future since it is only sold at the airport.

Anyway, here's wishing you and me a blessed new year! :)

Happy new year!

I'm thinking this shall be my motto for the brand new year ahead!
