Bad for my pocket

but oh so lovely! More kate spade stuff I found while surfing the Internet.

Mabel
Black patent oxfords! I love to own a pair of oxfords but have never found a pair that is both smart and comfortable. These look pretty with the wide ribbon as laces.

Headphones Earmuffs
I can imagine wasting precious minutes trying to match the 'L' to my left ear while freezing in the cold. Hahaha! Absolutely dumb (that's me) but oh so cute (the earmuffs!)

Over Here Mittens
One of the earliest books I read when I was a kid is about three kittens which kept losing their mittens. Ever since then I have always wanted to wear mittens. Not that I have a chance to, not with this blasting hot weather Singapore is enveloped in 365 days, 24/7.

Taxi Mittens
And these are my absolute favourite! I actually considered buying them! They are so bright and so me! I'm forever standing by the road trying to flag down a cab. But again, in reality, I won't have a chance to wear them here. I'd look like a serious nutcase should I wear mittens in Singapore. Damn it.

Retail therapy

I must admit that some shopping when I am feeling down usually cheers me up a little. The one too many visits to the hospital got me quite down last week. So I got myself a mood lifter. :)

My latest purchase. :)

It was an unexpected find. They have been on sale for some time but were never available in my size.

The colours are not quite right in these pictures because of the orange lighting. The shoes are blue and go very well with denim.

Cheap and pretty! SGD34.90.

Consolation

My laptop crashed last week and my world was thrown into turmoil. I lost precious data. It felt like the sky fell on me.

Which explains the lack of posts. I was in no mood to take pictures.

When the IT people finally replaced my harddrive with a new one, I spent many painful hours over the whole weekend RE-TRANSCRIBING hours of lessons from my project. In general, it takes about an hour to transcribe 10-15 minutes of classroom talk. The hardest thing is listening to one teacher and many students ALL trying to get a word in at the SAME time. And as if this wasn't bad enough, Child A often sounds the same as Child B and Child C and every other child in the classroom. Don't be mistaken, transcribing is really no brainer work but that does not mean it is not TEDIOUS!

By Sunday, I felt I deserve a little something as a reward for working over the weekend. After all, it was not my fault my laptop died so dramatically. There had been no warning signs.

So this was what I got!

Aren't they pretty??

Initially I thought they were 5 inches. Turned out they were only 4. Oh well...

Loot!

This one is J's.
It's impossible to find a beard trimmer in Singapore, much less a good one. We were delighted to find this in Selfridges and gladly paid 30 pounds for it.

Ecco shoes from Cambridge
Very comfy and the price was slashed from 75 to 37.50 pounds. Yeah!

Guide books!
For someone with poor memory, these are a necessity. :)

I've been eyeing this for some time. I love its big pink face! Got it in Switzerland for about $20 less. Pleased as a peach! :)
