This year's tree!

No prizes for guessing the theme for our Christmas tree correctly. :)

It's Angry Birds of course!

And Angry Birds ain't complete without the annoying pig. LOL!

Random thought of the day

Please don't celebrate mediocrity.

If I could say this aloud to you, I would.
But then, you would find me rude.
No?

Miniatures

If we are friends on Facebook, you would have seen the photo I posted and know I bought the McDonalds Miniature set last week. :)

Aren't the cute?? I think they are just adorable!

Each item costs SGD2.50 and you can collect 2 per week. Alternatively the whole set can be purchased at SGD25. If you do your math, you will realise that the huge burger box costs SGD10!

And still I paid for the box! Hahaha! I mean how else can I display the 6 small plastic items without the box? ;)

This HK post is late! #3

On our way home, I had HKD150 left in my wallet. Still itching to shop, I was determined to spend every cent at the airport! So this was what I bought for HKD120!

Initially, I got it with the intention of giving it to my Mil who likes Hello Kitty. But after I'd unpacked it from my luggage, I found it so cute that I decided to give it a permanent place on the TV console. Terrible me! ;)

And in case you are wondering what on earth this is, it is one of those things that uses solar energy and makes the toy figure move its head left and right.

El cheapo me

I like home furnishing magazines. I love looking at expensive furniture I cannot afford and beautiful homes I will never live in, pretty much for the same reason.

The other day I saw 'Home & Decor' running a promotion. It's something I read occasionally but the subscription rate wasn't that attractive. Then this caught my eye!

I've always wanted one but not been willing to part with an exorbitant amount of money for it. Fortunately for me, the sheep is one of the freebies I can choose from if I subscribe to the magazine for a year.

In the end, I did not get a 12-month subscription. It being the last day of the promotion, the promoter willingly gave away the sheep with just a 6-month subscription ($27). Can you say YAY?!?

Here's a funny TV commercial with the Serta Sheep.

Toys for the trio

I bought these 'soccer balls' for the twins before World Cup 2010 started. I thought it would be fun for them to kick these around during the soccer fever.

That was more than a month ago. The World Cup has come and gone and the toys are still with me. :(

Mr Rabbit here in his carrot car is a rattle for my dearest Muffin.

On a related note, I'm quite upset that I'll be out of the country when Muffin gets baptised. I was looking forward to witnessing the ceremony and taking pictures of and with him.
